Sun. Feb. 11th, 2007: After breakfast we saw the weather again started foggy at Queenstown (petrol stop), so we went on up to CADRONA - historic Hotel/CAFE, the side street through mountains was very nice, but steep for our little Toyota Starlet. Then we continued to WANAKA, where Liesl wanted to visit the 'Puzzling World' (very special bot for children and adults). After that we continued to lake HAWEA, along lake WANAKA in direction HAAST-Pass (564 m only). After that we had short stops/walks to the FANTAIL fall (2 min. walk) and the ROARING BILLY (noisy waterfall, 20min walk through very nice Fern-wood with lots of birds). Finally we were happy to get a room in the HAAST village - with lots of sand flies, but clean.
