Murau Celebration

Celebration of Elisabeth and Guenter at Murau Sept. 23rd to 24^th 2006.
As a lot of relatives and friends gave their best wishes and many useful things to us for this ‘round the world’-project on occasion of our celebration of being part of the ‘over-sixty-community’, we will start with our Blog showing some short hilites of this celebration.
September 23rd to 24th, 2006 a lot of friends and relatives came to us, to talk, celebrate, get to know each other, get to know a magnificent part of Austria – a special part of the ‘Obersteiermark’, where you find both good quality of air, woods, waters, beer and there are some things to see as included into the program of the celebration.

What was the program:

1. Visit to St. Lambrecht Monastery, including the Bird-Museum and the art exhibition in the old rooms of the monastery.

Back to Murau, our youngsters arrived.

2. Train ride on the narrow gauge steam train MURTALBAHN enjoying local music.

and after the train ride we had a

3. Visit to the Town hall of Murau guided by the Lord Mayor of Murau...



4. Visit to the Murau BREWERY and Brewery Museum




5. Evening celebration and dinner at SCHAFFERWIRT near Murau

















6.Sunday - after a salut from Murauer Bürgergarde (Murau guardsmen company)





we had a
special tour through Murau guided by Mrs. Schitter

7. Farewell lunch at Lanz.
