FIJI 2 - Nacula/ Yasawas

Sun. Feb. 25th, 2007: NADI - Faehre - NACULA (YASAWAs) - OARSMAN
Finally to day I get to the Internet - some short reports on the days at Fiji.
Early morning we went by shuttle from Hotel Aquarius on the beach at NADI - say: Nandi - (the rest from this hotel is not to be reported) to harbour DENARAU, and then to NACULA at the YASAWA islands, arriving at two pm. there. It was a fine transfer we passed in the Captains Lounge (climatisation, free drinks). After many stops we were finally having a Fiji musical receipt, a 'BULE' from the people at OARSMAN, then we went to our 'BURE' (Fiji cabin) and had a relaxing evening afternoon and, after a Fiji-drum-sign, a dinner.

Mon. Feb. 26th, 2007: Beach walk - Visit to the village.
After an early morning beach walk we went by boat to the nearest Fiji village, visited the Methodist and Catholic Church, the house of the Boss and people's souvenirs offer, the Kindergarden, Medical Centre, and the Boarding School ('Unterstufe' run for 4 villages), where we were given a performance of the school boys. This evening again the lights went off, so our fan stopped - the heat was quite strong.

Tue. Feb. 27th, 2007: Hiking morning - Snorkelling at Blue Lagoon.
At 6h we went with Alex, three dogs, and one Canadian girl hiking up the hill to several good view points looking down to both sides of Nacula. Later Guenter joins a boat trip to the 'Blue Lagoon' - snorkelling at a lagoon with a lot of anemons and anemon fish. The evening Oarsmen offered an Indian Buffet.
