FIJI 3 - Oarsman, Transfer to US

Wed. Feb. 28th, 2007: Cave trip - Beach picnic
During last night it was raining a lot, the morning remained gray. Guenter joined the boat trip to the 'CAVES', at the north side of Nacula, where you get into impressive caves filled with water, passing to the next cave underwater. After return there was a Beach Picnic, however we did below the roof, as still the rain returned. Only towards the evening we saw finally a very nice sunset. After that Oarsman had an 'International Evening' on which Liesl and Guenter represented Austria with an Austrian duett song.

Thu. March 1st, 2007: Packing - Snorkelling - Transfer - Flight - Camarillo.
After packing all our things at Oarsman Guenter and Liesl still enjoyed the beach and reef at Oarsman and then went off to the ferry, where return was again in the 'Captains Lounge' of the ship to Denarau. Then via taxi to fetch the rest of luggage at Aquarius, and checkin, security etc. for US with NZ 18, whereto we left at 22h30 and arrived at Los Angeles the SAME DAY at 13h !!! So we crossed the date boarder back to the northern hemisphere. At LA Airport we took the shuttle to Alamo rent-a-car, from where we drove over the Highway Nr.1 along the coast to our friends, Carol and Bill Langford, at Camarillo, where we had a nice dinner and a big planning session for the US roundtrip.
