US 9 - Oakdale - Monterey

Sat. March 10th, 2007: From Oakdale (Econo Lodge) we decided to re-visit SAN FRANCISCO via Rt. 120 to the BAY Bridge, drove along the center and the piers to Fisherman's Wharf and to Golden Gate Bridge up to the Vista Point of the 'Lonely Sailor' and down to SAUSALITO. In this nice and picturesque location we enjoyed lunch and coffee at the 'Paradise Bay', returned to San Francisco to LOMBARD Street up and down, and from there continued on the Highway 101 to SAN JOSE, where we visited the WINCHESTER MYSTERY HOUSE - Elisabeth saw it long ago, and now there was a guided tour, quite interesting. From there we continued to MONTEREY, where we searched quite intensively until we found a hotel for us.
